Split a PDF into several files

A very long PDF is hard to handle and can exceed email attachment limits. Cutting it into parts, one per chapter or one per batch of pages, solves both problems. PDFly's Split PDF tool creates one file per run, so you repeat it for each part you need.

Steps

  1. 1

Note where each part starts and ends, for example pages 1-40, 41-95 and 96-200.

  2. 2

Drop the PDF into PDFly's Split PDF tool, type the first range (1-40) and click Run.

  3. 3

Download the result and rename it (Part-1.pdf), then click Start over.

  4. 4

Drop the same PDF again and repeat with the next range until every part is saved.
